Smoke increasing this morning in Estacada

Smoke has traveled down the Clackamas River this morning, resulting in UNHEALTHY air quality levels to start the day in Estacada.  Air quality is expected to improve over the next few hours as some light showers move through the area.  This smoke is very localized and air quality is good to moderate throughout most of Clackamas County.

Minimal fire activity, primarily smoldering fuels in steep terrain, is expected at the 36 Pit Fire today and firefighters are aggressively attacking the difficult southern sections in favorable humid conditions.
