Rail Fire smoke still affecting nearby communities

Smoke is still affecting communities around the 41,614-acre Rail Fire near Unity. By mid-afternoon yesterday the firefighters were experiencing winds over 30 mph, gusting to 40, and the smoke had consolidated into a broad column that was widely visible to surrounding communities, according to the Incident Commander's latest report.
