Air Quality Hazardous in Sisters Sunday Morning

The air quality monitor in Sisters showed hazardous levels of smoke in the community Sunday morning.

Smoke from the Whitewater Fire drifted into the community late Saturday night, though most of the smoke in Sisters was coming from the Milli Fire.

During periods of hazardous air quality, people should avoid all outside exercise and physical exertion. Air quality is also generally better indoors than outdoors. People who are sensitive to smoke, including children, the elderly and those with asthma, should consider leaving the area to get away from smoke during times when air quality is this poor. People who experience health problems due to smoke should follow their medical plans or consult their physician.
