Smoke Lingering In Parts of Oregon, Showing Improvements In Others

Central Oregon saw some improvement in air quality on Saturday, though the Milli Fire (pictured above on Friday night) is still bringing some smoke to the region.

Sisters saw the most smoke, with air quality that was unhealthy for sensitive groups. Prineville and Bend both had moderate air quality, with some smoke and haze in those communities.

Madras had good air quality, as most of the smoke from the Milli Fire was drifting to the southeast.

In Southern Oregon, Klamath Falls and Lakeview both saw unhealthy air quality. Forecasters are predicting unhealthy air quality around Prospect, Crater Lake National Park and Chiloquin throughout the weekend. UPDATE: The forecast for Crater Lake National Park (Visitors Center) is now for air quality to be unhealthy for sensitive groups.
